World Book Day!
We had such a fun day taking part in lots of book activities and the children looked wonderful in their costumes! All the children mixed up and got the chance to take part in different activities with Mrs Lewis, Mrs Leach, Mrs Paterson and Mrs Andrews. In Hedgehogs Mrs Lewis read 'The day the crayons came home'. The children had to design and make their own crayon book mark character. They could choose any character and any adventure that their crayon may have been on. We had everything from footballer and popstar crayons to robot and superhero crayons!
Habitats
The children have been learning about Australian animals and their habitats. They researched their chosen animal and made some fantastic habitat boxes. Take a look...
Weather reporters!
As part of our Geography work we have been learning about Australia. Today we found out more about the weather and climate. We found out that the weather is quite different depending on where in Australia you go. The children were also fascinated to find out that the seasons are opposite to ours. They had to work in groups using maps to find out about the weather at different times of the year. Then they produced their very own weather forecast report. This was good fun and some of children really excelled with their presentations.
