In art we compared houses today with those from the 17th century. The children learned how to sketch and use

This week we have been getting in to our topic London's Burning by learning about living in the 17th century. We
found out about some jobs people used to have. Would you like to have been a
scullery maid, a rat catcher, a gong farmer or a chimney sweep?
Fun first week back!
We have had a lovely first week together and have started our topic of London’s Burning!
In science we begun our work on materials. The children enjoyed sorting the objects by the material in which they are made. They were also able to generate their own criteria for sorting and were able to organise the objects appropriately into a Venn diagram.
