Under the sea artwork
The children have created some beautiful artwork using pastels. They used the Great Barrier Reef in Australia as their inspiration.
World Book Day!
We had a very fun day today and everyone looked fabulous!
In the morning we made mocktails! In groups the children were set the challenge of making a litre of fruit punch. They had to use at least three different juices, but all the amounts had to be different. This certainly involved lots of calculating! Next, they had to measure the amounts into the measuring cylinders. Together we discussed the different scales and the importance of being accurate.
In the afternoon, we tested out some of George's Marvellous Experiments! The children had fun making potions and learning the science behind it. They were also fascinated by the dancing raisins!
Lots of learning and lots of fun too!
Habitats
The class have been learning about different habitats. Everyone selected an animal of their choice and used the Ipads to research them. Using the information they gathered about their habitat they made their own habitat boxes. I think you will agree they look amazing! The boxes are on display in the link corridor if you wish to have a look.
